JAMB’s Major Announcement: Post-UTME Screening Fees Slashed to N2,000
In a groundbreaking development, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set the post-UTME screening fees at an incredibly low rate of N2,000. This revelation came from Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the registrar of JAMB, during the ongoing 2023 policy meeting held at the National Judicial Institute in Abuja.
Under the new directive, institutions conducting screening exercises are strictly prohibited from imposing any additional charges on candidates beyond the N2,000 fee. This includes administrative and bank charges, ensuring a fair and accessible screening process for all.
To further enhance transparency and prevent candidate substitution, JAMB will grant all institutions free access to photo images and fingerprint data of applicants.
This groundbreaking decision by JAMB is set to revolutionize the post-UTME process, making it more affordable and equitable for aspiring students across the country.
