The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of the 2024/2025 registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates. The registration will begin on January 14th, 2024 and end on March 25th, 2024. Candidates who wish to sit for the UTME or DE in Nigeria or foreign countries are advised to register within this period.

According to JAMB, the registration fee for the UTME is ₦4,700, which includes the cost of the ePIN, the reading textbook, the CBT centre service charge, and the registration centre service charge. Foreign candidates will pay $20 for the registration. Candidates who want to take the mock examination will pay an additional ₦1,000 for the CBT service charge.

JAMB has also listed the requirements for the registration, which are as follows:

  • A personal e-mail address and mobile phone number
  • A National Identification Number (NIN)
  • A JAMB profile code, which can be generated by sending NIN to 55019
  • A JAMB ePIN, which can be obtained from any of the following platforms: JAMB website, JAMB mobile app, USSD code (*55019#), NIPOST, commercial banks, mobile money operators, or accredited CBT centres
  • An O’level or A’level result (if available)
  • A biodata form, which will be filled at the accredited CBT centre

Candidates are advised to visit only the accredited CBT centres or JAMB state offices for the registration. They are also expected to provide their biometric fingerprints and facial capture at the CBT centre. A registration slip will be given to each candidate after the registration, which will contain their personal details, exam date, time, and venue. Candidates will also receive a free JAMB material and novel.

JAMB has warned candidates to avoid patronising any cyber cafe or computer centre other than the ones published by the board. The board has also cautioned candidates against giving their ePINs or passwords to anyone, as they are personal and confidential. Candidates who have any complaint or difficulty during the registration can contact JAMB through its website, mobile app, or social media platforms.

The UTME is scheduled to hold from April 11th to April 18th, 2024, while the mock examination will hold on March 29th, 2024. Candidates are advised to prepare well for the examination and read the recommended novel and syllabus. JAMB wishes all candidates success in their academic pursuits.
